On another seed, I volunteered to organize the first discussion for a Newsvine book club and chose Allegra Goodman's novel The Cookbook Collector as our first choice.  I'll throw out the first idea for discussion (and--to help those just getting started on the book--I'll limit my first idea to the book's opening) in comment #1.  Feel free to respond to my topic in #1 or to start your own topic with a new #.   When the discussion seems to be winding down, I'll ask for a volunteer to choose and organize the second book for discussion.
